Waypoint Arugam Bay Hostel

During my Christmas stay, the food and drinks were pretty good and the staff was really friendly. , the rooftop location was well-placed and allowed me to get a great view of the town. The accommodation was clean and close to a variety of local attractions.

The humidity level was a bit high even for the location, and the room had a faint odor of mold which was a bit bothersome. It would have also been helpful to have proper WiFi access as the signal was quite weak.

It's near the beach and restaurants, right on the main street. the room is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. the rooftop area is great for workouts and yoga. they have a water filter that gives backpackers drinking water to go.

The common area was not maintained well and did not look like on the pictures.

I loved the hotel facilities, particularly their rooftop that was perfect for workouts and yoga. They even provide yoga mats! The hotel location was also ideal as it was right on the main street, offering easy access to the beach and numerous restaurants. the friendly staff provided excellent service and made me feel at home.

There was one downside. At times, there were issues with the water filter that left me without potable water.

Waypoint Arugam Bay - a home away from home. Helpful staff, central location, clean dorm rooms, movie nights and hostel parties, safe for solo female travellers.
